Gillette is upping its fashion game with a new collaboration. The personal care brand’s Gillette Venus has teamed up with the accessories label Vera Bradley on a new collection of ‘Vera Bradley + Venus’ razors and gels.
The series, which were launched in Target stores nationwide on April 7, comprised a razor handle featuring the signature ‘Daisy Dot Paisley’ Vera Bradley print, as well as special editions of disposable razors and cartridges and a ‘Blushed Bloom’ scented shave gel.
“Vera Bradley strives to create thoughtful solutions for women that are both functional and beautiful, making the brand a perfect partner for the collection,” said Alessandra Dolfini, Global Venus Vice President, in a statement.
Since being founded in 1982, Vera Bradley has developed a global reputation for its playful handbags, luggage solutions, fashion pieces and home accessories.
The move is not the first big collaboration for Venus Gillette, which partnered with the beauty and lifestyle YouTube star Remi Criz late last year to launch a limited-edition razor design.
Fashion and beauty collaborations are enjoying a moment in the spotlight, with brands frequently doubling up to increase their appeal to consumers. Recent examples include a makeup collaboration from Maybelline and the athletics brand Puma, and a cosmetics line from MAC and the streetwear brand Nicopanda. – Relaxnews
