KAPIT: Civil servants from Sarawak should be given fair quotas and opportunities to work in the public sector at the federal level.

In stating this, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Duties) Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong stressed that the formation of Malaysia derived not only from the states in the peninsula, but also from Sarawak and Sabah.

He said this as reported by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) during his speech at the cheque handing over ceremony to primary schools in Kapit on yesterday (Mar 10).

During the ceremony, Ugak had handed over donations to a total of 36 primary schools in Kapit Division.

Each school here received RM3,000 to be used to carry out the activities that are already planned.

In addition, the Kapit Division Headmaster’s Council also received a donation of RM25,000 from Ugak to finance their activities.
