KUCHING: Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Sarawak alumni has contributed RM30,000 to the ‘GIVE2UKM’ fund.
Its president Datuk Julaihi Narawi was present to hand over the contribution to UKM Bangi Alumni Relations Centre director Prof Dr Mohd Syuhaimi Ab Rahman.
According to Julaihi, who is also the Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications, the donation is in honour of UKM’s services to its graduates.
“For the record, the UKM Sarawak alumni has contributed a total of RM71,000 to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) COVID-19 fund through our Premier to cope with the COVID-19 issue here,” he said at the Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri & Gawai UKM Sarawak alumni here, on Saturday.
He also thanked the organising team for the ceremony before ending his speech.
