KUCHING: Pott Glasses Kuala Lumpur and Junior Chamber International (JCI) Padawan have teamed up to provide underprivileged students with free eye care services.

The initiative, dubbed “Eyes for Education,” aims to improve the students’ quality of life and academic performance.

The collaboration focuses on Sekolah Kebangsaan Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim, where students will receive free eye exams and prescription glasses.

“The programme’s two-phase approach begins with collecting glasses and raising awareness. Phase 2 will address the specific needs of underprivileged communities, ensuring immediate relief and long-term development,” said JCI Padawan in a statement.

By empowering students to excel in their studies, this collaboration not only unlocks their potential but also lays the foundation for a long-term partnership to benefit the broader Sarawak community.
