SERIAN: The Greater Kuching Development Coordination Agency (GKCDA) is implementing various development initiatives to empower progress in the Kedup constituency.

Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development Datuk Martin Ben said GKCDA has approved a 2.7-kilometre long road construction project to Kampung Terbat Mawang with an allocation of RM2.4 million.
“I am confident that the completion of the project will also bring many benefits to the surrounding residents.
“Meanwhile, the Tagang Kampung Terbat Mawang Project has been proposed and is awaiting approval to be developed into an Ecotourism Centre on a land area of two to three acres,” he said at the Thanksgiving and New Year 2024 Celebration at Kampung Terbat Mawang here recently.
Martin, who is also Kedup assemblyman, suggested that the people in Kedup continue their resolve in 2024 to improve their families’ economy to a better level in whatever field they venture into.
“The development of the village alone does not give meaning if the population is still backward and the income level is still low to cover rising household expenses,” he said.
At the same event, he approved the the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) Project allocation of RM200,000 for the Kampung Terbat Mawang Town Hall upgrade project.
He also handed over a RM10,000 Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant cheque to the chairman of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Terbat Mawang and an amount of RM5,000 to the village’s Youth Association.
