SERIAN: The Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) had its first Mini Lab on yesterday (Dec 5).
GKCDA, which was attended by about 120 people, including district officers from Lundu, Bau, Tebedu, Serian and Siburan, as well as penghulu, temenggung and pemanca, is hoped to ensure more concentrated efforts and proper development planning in Bidayuh areas.
Community leaders present were therefore encouraged to share their wishes and anticipations regarding the implementation of GKCDA.
Penghulu Ranit Rujaj, 63
The GKCDA’s initiatives are commendable, particularly those involving development projects in Kuching, Bau, Lundu and Serian.
Our goal is to see an improvement in the local economy, particularly in the Serembu region, which is beneficial for both tourism and agriculture.
Community Leader Jinep Jiheng, 60
The GKCDA Mini Lab programme is excellent because it provides the community-level knowledge that is necessary to bring development to the communities covered by the GKCDA pathway.
As a result, we will be able to observe a number of advances in the infrastructure and economy, particularly in relation to agricultural issues such pineapples, bananas, and others.
Pemanca Benjamin Gersit, 70
The establishment of GKCDA is a very significant step for the improvement of life in Kuching and the neighbouring areas.
I hope it can provide great agricultural opportunities to our community, especially with the construction of agricultural roads and bridges, so that the products can be marketed and raise their income.
