KUCHING: Nur Elisha Rania Muhammad Abrar Raj had to overcome some niggling injury to help her partner Nurul Farisya Alia Affendi  win the second gold in diving;  the pair gave their best to achieve the highest score of 262.08 points in the 10m synchronised platform event.

They outperformed  the Perak pair who managed a total score of 197.16 points to win the silver.

Nur Elisha Rania, who was esthetic after her win, said she could not push herself during her training as she was nursing a backbone injury but still had to perform quality dives to help her teammate and Sarawak  win the coveted gold.

“ I did not have  proper training prior to this as I had an injury but I had to go all out in my performance to help my teammate to clinch the gold,” said Nur Elisha who dedicated her medal in honour of her grandmother who passed away this year.
