BETONG: Belia 1828, the newest wing of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), is considered a special group because it represents a whole new generation.
Its members will get to air their views, aspirations and inspirations during PBB Special Convention Betong Zone today (Oct 8).
Belia 1828 is also expected to attend the special conventions in Bintulu and Sibu too.
Here are some views and hope of the youth from the Betong zone on the convention:

Young leaders should seize this opportunity as an important platform to gain knowledge and experience from senior leaders. As PBB president and Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is present, I believe this is the best opportunity to strengthen the relationships among PBB members.

Conventions like these can open our eyes and ensure the youth are not easily swayed by sweet promises from irresponsible parties. They should not gamble their fate to support another party, which will only harm their future. I hope the youth will be more active in organising various activities because many facilities are provided by the government.

Young leaders from Belia 1828 should seize this opportunity as this is the youth wing’s first involvement in a convention like this. I believe PBB wants to give us the opportunity to voice our opinions and participate in discussions. Furthermore, it is guiding us to continue the party’s struggle in an increasingly challenging future. I hope the government will continue to develop and upgrade sports facilities to carry out various activities under Pembangunan Usahawan Belia (PUB) and nurture youth who are skilled in data-based innovation towards 2030.

This special convention will provide a deeper understanding of current developments in Sarawak as outlined in the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030). Likewise, the youth can participate by voicing their views and ideas. In youth development and continuous guidance is greatly anticipated to ensure the youth stay on track and contribute to the state’s development.
