MUKAH: The vaccination programme for children under the age of 18 has been well received and supported by parents and guardians in Mukah Division.

Around 200 students of TABIKA Kemas, Pre-School and Year 1 to 5 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Teh Mukah, SK Kampung Jebungan and SK Kampung Penakub Ulu turned up at SK Kampung Penakub Ulu here to receive their jabs last Friday (Feb 18).

Present were principal assistant director of the Family Health Development Section of the State Health Department, Dr Radziah Mohamad, Dr Normy Kunyo and other staff of the Mukah Divisional Health Office.

Dr Radziah said that the programme that took place at SK Kampung Penakub Ulu was well managed. 

She was very happy with the three schools involved and the health staff on duty.

Normala Laloong, who accompanied her children for the vaccination programme, revealed that they were very excited before receiving the jabs and were smiling after the vaccination.

Ronald Alek, a year five student from SK. Kampung Teh, gave the thumbs-up after receiving the jab and said he was looking forward to the second dose.
