KAPIT: A slow loris found by a man here in his backyard was safely handed over to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC).
SFC in a statement expressed its gratitude to the man known only as Lim.
“The slow loris was found by Lim on Thursday (March 3) in his backyard. Realising that the Ukang/Bengkang species is a fully protected animal, he quickly contacted us.
“While waiting for our arrival, Lim had placed the slow loris in a cage to ensure its safety,” it said today.
SFC stated that two of its staff, namely Esak Jalong and Henry Bajai, went to Lim’s residence for the retrieval process.
“We would like to thank Lim for his attentiveness in looking after the slow loris well while under his care and for promptly contacting us for further action to manage the fully protected animal.”
