KUCHING: A seven-foot-long python had a tasty breakfast, eating a goose inside a goose coop on Wednesday (Jan 10).
The reptile’s sighting was made around 8.30am in the vicinity of SMK Agama 2, Jalan FAC here.
Fuelled by concerns over the reptile’s impact on the school staff and dormitory students’ safety, the Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching were promptly alerted to the scene.
In response, a team was quickly deployed to the scene to capture the slithery creature.
Upon arrival, the team found that the 17kg python was coiled up inside the coop and was captured with a snake tong.
Following the successful catch, the reptile was taken back to the APM Kuching office for further action.
