KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is on alert-and-ready mode for the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).
This was said by Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Youth chief Datuk Snowdan Lawan during an interview on his thoughts if GPS needs a booster to remain and sustain their roles as “kingmakers” at federal level.
“In any election, each party tries to win as many seats as possible. More so if you are the ruling government, for stability, and not necessarily a ‘booster’,” Snowdan said.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Creative Industry and Performing Arts stated that in Sarawak the 76 out of the 82 seats GPS won signals it all.
“We were even able to recapture the lost seats during the 2016 election,” he added.
“GPS works on developing the state every day, not only during election times. That’s our parameter besides fulfilling our manifesto,” he said.
Currently, 18 out of 31 parliamentary seats in Sarawak are held by GPS.
