KUCHING: Petra Jaya constituents will give their fullest support to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidates contesting in three state constituencies under the parliamentary constituency at the coming state polls.

Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof in assuring this, said Tupong, Samariang and Satok constituencies and their respective incumbents; Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s impeccable services to their constituents had ensured continuous support for GPS candidates in all three constituencies.

“In the Petra Jaya parliamentary constituency, there are three state constituencies, all of them are actually already well prepared (for the polls). But we are not just preparing during election time, we have been continuously serving the people throughout the years.

“With our services, I am confident our people in Petra Jaya will give full support to GPS.”

Fadillah said this to reporters after visiting fire victims in Kampung Nombor 6, Jalan Muhibbah here on Sunday (Nov 28).

He added that it was GPS’s commitment to identify the peoples’ woes and find the most suitable solution to the issues.

“We will find ways to solve all problems. This cannot be done 100 percent, but (GPS) can give our best 100 percent all the time,” he added.

Alluding to Pakatan Harapan (PH’s) announcement to contest in all 82 seats, Fadillah asserted that the coalition posed no threat to GPS.

“It is their right to contest in all seats. What is certain is that GPS will also contest in all 82 seats and we have proven that we are a party that has served the people of Sarawak through various strategies that have been compiled and implemented by the chief minister.

“I am confident that the people of Sarawak can evaluate the 22 months of PH’s reign in Malaysia and whether or not they were able to deliver on their manifesto promises. I am sure the people of Sarawak remember what they have implemented and how many projects they have canceled,” he reminded.
