GPS MPs vow to be more vocal for constituents’ sake

PUSA:  Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) MPS have vowed to be more vocal for the sake of their constituents.

One of them is Batang Lupar MP Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim who acknowledged the increasingly heavy tasks of GPS’ people’s representatives following the changing political landscape after the last general election.

“As elected representatives, we, GPS MPs, must uphold the people’s trust in us and voice their wants and needs to the government,” she added when officiating at the “Jom Berambeh” event organised by Batang Lupar parliamentary constituency t at Dataran Tandang Sari here yesterday.

Rohani explained that the event which involved various government agencies aimed to enhance the state government’s ties with the people.

“So through this one-day event, we bring government agencies down to the field to provide services to the people.

“From there, we will announce the feedback from the agencies and the people in parliament.  I think this event is very important because many inputs are good for me as a representative of the people,” she said.

Also present at the event were Beting Maro state assemblyman Razaili Gapor, Pusa district officer Bujang Budin, Pemanca Pusa Awang Raziee District Awang Mohd Zain and Penghulu Kampung Pusa Mahdi Kidi.
