KUCHING: Tchee Foh Hin whose son Tchee Kian Jong aged 24 who was among three who died in an explosion at the CityOne Megamall here last Tuesday wished that he could have a place to call his own.

Tchee made the appeal following a visit by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Youth Wing team comprising PBB Deputy Youth chief Fazzruddin Abdul Rahman, SUPP Youth secretary-general Milton Foo, SUPP Deputy Youth chief Andrew Victor, PBB Vice Youth chief Leonard Jambu, SUPP Batu Kitang Branch Youth secretary Leonard Tan and Youth member Jong Zheng Xiang to Tchee’s dilapidated shelter at Stampin Resettlement Area here yesterday.

“This shelter and land are not mine. As the land owner does want to rebuild this house I hope the state government can help me by giving me a piece of land in this area (Stampin Resettlement Area) for me to build my own house,” Tchee said who also has difficulty walking due to a swollen left leg.

The visiting team agreed to convey Tchee’s wish to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg. Tchee Kian Jong was one of the three who died in an explosion at CityOne Megamall while 41 others were injured.
