KUCHING: Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing advised those who have been given the chance to get the booster dose to grab it with both hands.
The Meradong assemblyman stated that it is not only going to increase one’s immunity but also enable one to feel confident while carrying out duties.
“I welcome the move to enhance the immunity especially for the frontliners and high-risk group. I am sure that the Ministry of Health (MoH) as a competent and responsible agency would have carried out thorough studies before advising our Prime Minister to make this latest announcement on the fight against Covid-19.
“After administering two doses already throughout the country, our vaccination team be it ministerial level schedulers or planners as well as the actual vaccination centres (PPVs) staff and volunteers will be more than capable of administering the third dose exercise,” he said when contacted on Tuesday (Sept 21).
At the same time, he noted that individuals should not be forced for the administration of the third dose,
“As a democratic country, I do not think we should force anyone to do anything against his or her will. Moreover, they may have genuine reasons for dodging the jab,” he added.
