KUCHING: The proposed green hydrogen project in Kidurong, Bintulu is progressing well, as confirmed in a crucial meeting led by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
Awang Tengah who serves as Second Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development engaged with representatives from Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd., Lotte Chemical, and SEDC Energy Sdn Bhd on Thursday.
As such, Awang Tengah who is also the Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment, expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress, assuring continued government support.
The South Korean delegation comprised executive vice president and Head of Sustainable Solutions Division at Samsung Engineering, Cheonhong Park; general manager and Head of the Hydrogen Team at Lotte Chemical Hans Shin; and project director at Samsung Kuching Office (SEDC Energy) Johnny Jeong.
Also present were Deputy Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh, along with representatives from key entities including Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS), Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), and InvestSarawak.
