Grolite to hold third blood drive on March 3

SIBU: A third blood donation campaign being organised by the Grolite Community, part of the Grolite Group, will take place on March 3.
According to its Business Development Manager Sandra Song, the objective of the campaign is to help obtain sufficient blood supply for the use of Sibu Hospital.
“Grolite hopes the organisation of this programme will also increase public awareness regarding the necessity and importance of blood donation and encourage more people to become blood donors.
“Grolite Community has been organising blood donation campaigns at least twice a year, and it has become an annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme,” she said at a press conference here Monday (Feb 26).
In collaboration with PMG HealthCare and the Sibu Hospital Blood Bank, the campaign will be held at the Grolite building, located at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, from 9am until 2pm.
“This weekend programme is our third time organising a blood donation campaign, and we hope more people will join this campaign,” she said.
Sandra said that eligible blood donors would receive corporate appreciation gifts and fuel vouchers for the Grolite petrol station at Shell Ling Kai Cheng as a token of gratitude for their support.
Also present were Grolite Sales Manager, Song Tiong Chuan, and PMG Area Director of Pharmacy and pharmacist, Erica Ho.
