KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd is notifying guests that the Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) will be closing one runway from Jan 29 (12:01am local time) to Feb 1 (23:59pm local time) for maintenance works.

Due to the runway closure, AirAsia’s Bangkok operations will be heavily impacted, resulting in possible flight delays, as well as rescheduled or cancelled flights, it said in a statement here yesterday.

“We are cooperating with the airport on this matter and will update affected guests via email and SMS on any changes to their flight status,” it added.

AirAsia guests travelling during this period are encouraged to monitor their flight status at airasia.com/flightstatus.

Guests are also strongly urged to keep their email address and mobile number (with country code prefix) in their AirAsia member profile updated at airasia.com to ensure they can be reached for timely assistance. – Bernama
