KAPIT: Gwean Dolyn of SJK © Hock Lam and Roszt Manual of SK Kapit emerged as the champions in the recent Kapit District Inter-Primary Schools Badminton Competitions 2019 for Primary School Girls and Boys Under 12 category held at Bletih Stadium here recently.
Organised by SK Lepong Baleh, the tournament aimed to select the Kapit players to the Inter-Division Primary Schools badminton competition 2019 scheduled in Mukah end of this month.
Gwean Dolyn of SJK © Hock Lam won the girls singles title with Tiara Elvima of SK Lepong Baleh in second place and Connie Lau of SJK © Hock Lam third.
Gwean Dolyn partnered Wong Hui Rong to win the girls doubles category. Tiara Elvima and Connie Lau came in second and the pair of Aerylyna Nasha and Audrey finished third.
Roszt Manuel of SK Kapit took the boys singles title with Venedit of SK Methodist and Mory Antiz of SK Methodist second and third respectively .
The boys doubles category was again won by Roszt Manuel and Aning Ranyyan of SK kapit while Wilfred and Alcester were second place and Alex Hendra and Ian Isaac third. The senior assistant of SK Lepong Baleh Lau Nei Kiong later gave away the prizes to the winners.
