KUCHING: Members of the public are invited to witness the attempt to enter the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for the ‘Highest Number of Hadrah Players’, happening at the Old Kuching Smart Heritage (OKSHe) Festival 2019 at Padang Merdeka here, tomorrow.

Speaking during a rehearsal ceremony yesterday, the hadrah chief coordinator Mazalani Suut said 1,000 hadrah players will perform simultaneously with 1,000 silat players for 30 minutes to create a new record in the MBOR.

“All the hadrah and silat players are ready for this historical moment.

“Apart from Kuching, the performers also came from Kota Samarahan, Simunjan and Lundu.

“So far, the training has been going well and we are satisfied with the level of preparedness of each player.

“What needs to be improved is to homogenise the performance as it involves a large number of people,” he added.
