KUCHING: Local music lovers did not expect Sarawak-born Mohd Hafiz Suip, also known as Hafiz, to sustain a creative career spanning 15 years.
The star, who rose to fame through a reality programme in 2009, began making strides in the entertainment sector after winning the competition, and his fame continues to endure.
Hafiz acknowledges the hard work he has put in as an artiste, and his ‘Perjalananku’ (Journey) Concert is a representation of his musical artistry. This Awan Nano singer dedicates the performance to his followers, who have stood by him throughout his career.
“The message I want to convey is the journey of an artiste named Hafiz Suip, whose family, especially his mother’s story, has been the backbone of my life—from being a nobody to becoming the person you see today,” he said.
He made the statement during the ‘Perjalananku’ Concert press conference at the Pullman Hotel here on Friday.
Hafiz’s ‘Perjalananku’ Concert will take place on October 13 at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre here where he will perform around 14 songs from his career in vocal artistry, including Ku Akui, Hanya Ingin Kau Cinta, and Masih Jelas.
