KUCHING: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will install hand wash basins at the hawker centres under its jurisdiction, said its mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng.
In disclosing this, Wee said the installation of the facilities was to encourage patrons to maintain good hygiene before having their meals.
“We will start first at Hui Sing and Batu Lintang hawker centres,” he told reporters after inspecting the SOP compliance with the enforcement team officers at the premises here at Jalan Padungan on Wednesday (July 15) morning.
“Sometimes, the toilet might be a bit far and people tend to be lazy and thus, not wash their hands.”
