MUKAH: A total of 1,500 packs of bubur lambuk have been distributed to the people of Mukah to foster social ties during this auspicious month of Ramadan.
Present to give out the porridge along Jalan Boulevard to people passing by was Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib.
Hanifah, who is also the Mukah Member of Parliament, then made her way to the Medan Ria Setia Raja Ramadan Bazaar, where she handed over the porridge to the food vendors there.
Heads of departments and community leaders from various areas in Mukah also received the bubur lambuk on behalf of their departments and villages.
At the event, she also wished the Muslims a blessed fasting month.
This bubur lambuk distribution event is an annual programme that Hanifah attends every year.
Also present was Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi.
