SRI AMAN: Assistant Minister of Community Wellbeing, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis contributed four buffaloes for the purpose of distribution to the Muslim community in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration. All the four buffaloes had been handed over the mosque by Harden’s representative, Ling Siew Hung who is also the Women’s chief of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Simanggang.
Ling informed that two of the buffaloes were handed over to the mosque committee of Masjid Darul Syakirin, Kampung Muhibbah while one each were handed over to Surau An Nur, Kampung RPR Fasa Harmoni and Surau Al Amin, Taman Sri Jaya.
“The contribution is Harden’s initiative to assist the local Muslim community in brightening up the Hari Raya Haji celebration this year. “As the people’s representative for Simanggang, he is obliged to contribute to the Muslim community during the Hari Raya celebration every year,” she said. Meanwhile, Ling hoped that this year’s celebration will be able to further strengthen relationship among the Muslim community in this constituency.
“Harden also hopes that the Muslim community in Simanggang will remain united and harmonious in order that development projects could be implemented smoothly in their resepctive areas,” she added.
The slaughtering of buffaloes has been scheduled to take place at 7.30 am tomorrow at Surau An Nur, RPR Harmoni and Surau Al Amin, Taman Srijaya.
