Harden donates five cows in Sri Aman

SRI AMAN: Assistant Minister of Community Wellbeing, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis did not want to miss the opportunity to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha with the Muslim community here by donating five cows for the Qurban (sacrificial) purpose yesterday.

Among the areas which received the cattle were Kampung Muhibbah, RPR Phase I and II, Taman Sri Jaya, Taman Harmoni, Taman Desa and Camp Pakit, Sri Aman. The five cows were handed over by Harden’s representative, SUPP Simanggang Branch chief, Ling Siew Hung.

Two of the five cows were handed over to the Darul Syakirin Mosque for distribution to five zones in Kampung Muhibah while the other was handed over to Surau An-Nur for distribution to Sri Aman RPR Phase I and II.

Meanwhile, one cow was presented to the 13 RAMD Pakit Camp, Sri Aman with one cow handed over to Surau Al Amin Taman Srijaya for distribution to residents of Taman Srijaya, Taman Desa Indah and Taman Harmoni.

“On behalf of Datuk Francis Harden and SUPP we would like to wish all Muslims in the Simanggang constituency a Happy Hari Raya Aidiladha,” said Ling.

Harden also urged Muslims in Sri Aman to uphold the peace and harmony with other communities.

“Unity is important so that Sarawak is always peaceful and harmonious. Only then can our government implement various development projects smoothly and successfully,” he said.
