SRI AMAN: The incumbent assemblyman for Simanggang Datuk Francis Harden Hollis will defend his seat in the upcoming state election.

“The 12th Sarawak State Election is approaching and I wish to announce that I am the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for the Simanggang constituency.

“Spread the word to your relatives and friends to vote for GPS because we still need development which is the aspiration of our Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg,” he said at the ‘Mid-Autumn Reunion Night of Gengzi’ programme held at a restaurant here on Friday.

The programme, organised by Chinese Community Leaders Association of Sri Aman Division, was to celebrate Mooncake Festival which symbolises cultural unity as well as nurturing cooperation among the various communities.

The programme’s organising chairman Pemanca Lee Siang Hua urged the Chinese community to unite and give full support to Harden, who is Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) treasurer as the GPS candidate.
