CollabStore at Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur has kicked off its shopping festival with some of the most spectacular names in Malaysian fashion.

In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya, 10 designers showcased stunning and contemporary clothing for men, women, and even children in its “Riang Ria Raya Fashion Show”.

The event was a joyful one with lots of guests, including Malaysian pop and R&B singer Ning Baizura.

ALIA B

Designer Alia draws inspiration for her latest Raya 2023 collection, FOREVER, from her main line Alia Bastamam. It is the culmination of all the different facets of the ALIA B girl, who has developed into a modern, sophisticated, romantic, and mysterious character.

With a selection of modernised Baju Kurung, Alia’s resort aesthetic in wrap silhouettes and effortless sarongs, as well as fabrication that lends an air of unassuming regal style, the collection offers a complete wardrobe for the festive season and beyond.

PROJET1826

It was also the official debut of PROJET1826 Raya footwear featuring EATON, EFRON, and EDSON, as well as new sunglasses designs.

EATON is a two-tone strap expertly crafted in grey and black leather in an open-toe style and secured with a buckled fastening at the back. It has a non-slip outsole, is easy to care for, and is suitable for people with wide feet.

EFRON may be the answer to your tired feet. The soft and cushioned neoprene upper provides instant relief to your feet after wearing covered-toe shoes for long periods of time. The adjustable velcro fastening allows it to fit any foot shape and is suitable for both outdoor and office wear.

EDSON is a padded nylon broad strap with velcro closure and a chunky rubber outsole. It is a unisex slip-on footwear that is non-slip, waterproof, easy to care for, and lightweight. It is a good fit for all foot shapes, making it ideal for the upcoming Hari Raya.

UMBI

The brand hopes to inspire both children and adults about the power of self-expression, curiosity, and joy. It also gives the local art scene and pattern artists a platform and recognition.

ANGELIQUE

ANGELIQUE continues to design light weight separates based on tropical island style in a comfortable and modest silhouette for this Hari Raya. REEHandHEER

In this hari Raya collection, REEH&HEER continues to be inspired by the garment pleating process. For urban consumers, the brand focuses on travel-friendly and easy-to-wear modest dresses. Menswear includes polo tee tops and round neck tees in a variety of colours, as well as matching trousers.

ZAFF BEN JIBBY

Zaff Ben Jibby presents Jibililah 2023, a capsule collection designed exclusively for Lebaran/Eid that caters to modest ready to wear. This time, the designer focused on the manipulation of Kebaya silhouette shapes with English floral prints as the main attraction.

BEHATI

BEHATI continues to defy traditional costume norms and redefine culture through his multicultural clothing, preserving local traditional crafts by incorporating many techniques from different cultures into their collections in the hopes that modernity of traditional wear will become a progressive movement in Malaysia.

RHR XCLUSEEV X SONGKOK MALAYA

The songkok is a ubiquitous symbol of Malay culture, and it is worn at formal occasions such as weddings, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Aidiladha.

It is shaped like a truncated cone and goes well with traditional Malay attire for men. It is usually made of black or embroidered felt or cotton, but XCLUSEEV SONGKOK is made out of fine velvet and fabric.

Soft leather is used to add exclusivity, and it is available in a variety of sizes, mostly in black.

This year, RHR XCLUSSEV and Songkok Malaya decided to collaborate and create a fine and exclusive songkok to be worn during the festive season. Their package included Songkok and Baju Melayu.

CANTIQ COUTURE

CANTIQ COUTURE focuses on creating high-quality merchandise in vibrant colours and versatile separates. The brand is aimed at the urban consumer who combines Western and traditional clothing to create a unique look, such as pairing a jacket with Baju Gorong Pahang.

RUMAH HARTIQA

This collection is inspired by the designer’s love of 1950s fashion, fusing east and west fashion styles and silhouettes.

“When I design this collection, I have one inspiration in mind — my mother. Her fashion sense has always been very vintage. She favours puff sleeves and the nipped-in-waist silhouette, which I adore. This Eid and Spring RAYA capsule is dedicated to my mother,” says the designer, Rafiz Razali.
