SARIKEI: The Women’s Bureau plays a key role in managing daily activities to improve the socio-economic status of individuals and families through various fields of interest.

According to Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (MA63 Law and Federal-State Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Awan Ghazali, women can venture into various fields including handicrafts, agriculture, and product creation.

“The ideas and contributions of women can also be elevated to create a strong platform for advancing all women in rural areas,” said Hasidah, who is the chairwoman of the Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) Women’s Bureau.

She was speaking at the closing ceremony of the Charismatic SABERKAS Women’s Programme at the Pakan Community Hall on Saturday (Sept 21).

Meanwhile, on the programme, she said the SABERKAS Women’s Bureau can provide knowledge to everyone, particularly on how to become successful entrepreneurs after participating in the activities held in the programme.

She added that the SABERKAS Sarawak Women’s Bureau has taken the initiative from the programme to strengthen bonds and deliver a significant impact on women.
