KUCHING: The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) through it’s Charity Sports and Recreation Club held a friendly golf event at the Damai Golf and Country Club here.
The event was held in conjunction with HDC’s 50th celebration on February 19.
Mohamad Asman Ahmad, HDC’s chief executive officer in his welcoming speech, said that the event was a way of saying “thank you and appreciation on the collaboration with our partners in delivering our mandate”.
Asman added that apart from the friendly golf event, HDC is also doing its CSR responsibility by helping to accommodate Puan Lauh Lajet, a single mother from Serian to repair her dilapidated house.
A substantial amount was collected from the generous 53 participants of the friendly golf event.
“This generous contribution will surely help Puan Lauh Lajet in getting a better and comfortable place to live in,” said Asman.
