KUCHING: The passing of Malay Vehicle Importers and Traders Association of Malaysia (PEKEMA) Sarawak branch president Tan Sri Abang Khalid Abang Marzuki is a huge loss to his family members, the business community as well as the public at large.

His niece, Irma Osman said, “He is going to be missed because he was very kind. He was very generous to everyone regardless of their age and background

“He was somebody that we looked up to. He was like the godfather of Marzuki’s family,” she said when met at the businessman’s residence at Jalan Muda Hashim on Friday (Feb 4).

She added that she was inspired by his uncle’s kindness to help others in need.

“My uncle was also a very humorous person, he loved to share jokes and was very supportive of his family. Even when he was still sick before, he always smiled and still   joked with us,” she said.
