OYA: A multitude of activities infused vibrancy into the 2024 Oya Kaul Festival, taking place from April 19 to 21 at the scenic Pantai Kuala Hilir Oya here.
Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi officiated at the festival, on Sunday.
Also present were the Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, who is also the Dalat assemblywoman Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, and Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine.
Wan Junaidi also inaugurated the Pantai Kuala Hilir Oya coastal erosion control fort and officiated at the final event of the tug-of-war competition.
Later Fatimah presented souvenirs to Wan Junaidi and his wife, who then proceeded to visit the exhibition booths set up by 22 government agencies and non-governmental organisations participating in the festival.
They, along with other attendees, then visited the Lebuk Kaul Oya.
