KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud cast his ballot at SK Merpati Jepang, Jalan Patinggi Ali here today (Nov 19).
Clad with brown batik, he was accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib who wore a purplish-blue-coloured modern baju kurung.
They arrived at the voting centre at 1:05pm and had successfully cast their votes at 1:10pm for the Petra Jaya parliamentary area.
In this 15th General Election, Petra Jaya parliamentary constituency saw a three way fight between Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Sopian Julaihi and Parti Sedar Rakyat Sarawak (SEDAR) candidate Datuk Othman Abdillah.
