KUCHING: A total of 145 persons received state awards and medals from the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud during an investiture ceremony held at Dewan Besar Astana Negeri here recently.
Eight persons received the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK) award. Among the recipients were Sarawak Prison Department senior assistant commissioner Fathi Mursidi and Beluru District Officer Alfred Geling Ason.
Sixteen other persons received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB), 34 received the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS), and 18 persons awarded the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK).
There were 36 recipients of the excellent service award (Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji – PPT), while 33 other persons received the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS) award.
Also present during the ceremony was the Head of State’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib.
