BETONG: Heavy downpour has resulted in the occurrence of soil erosion behind a house at Rantau Layang Spak here yesterday (Feb 8).
However, no injuries or casualties were reported in the 10.50 am incident.
A five-member team from Civil Defence Force (APM) Betong was despatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call.
On arrival, the team confirmed that the incident only happened in the back area of the longhouse and did not cause any structural damage.
No evacuation operation was carried out as they only monitored the situation.
The team only advised the residents to be cautious and to alert the authorities if it recurs.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team departed back to their office.
