MIRI: A two-foot flood has inundated Kampung Long Panai, affecting 500 residents from 153 households.
According to the Kampung Long Panai Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), floodwaters reached up to two feet as of this morning (Oct 6).
The flooding began on Friday around 5 pm following heavy rainfall.
Despite the rising water levels, there have been no evacuations of residents, the committee said.
The Sarawak Alternative Rural Electrification Scheme (SARES) solar power supply in the village remains operational and has not yet reached a critical level.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
