KUCHING: Members of the public are urged to assist Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) in making Kuching City more beautiful, clean, safe, smart and sustainable with healthy and prosperous residents.

DBKU Mayor Hilmy Othman, in making the call, stated that this was to ensure a beautiful, clean, safe, smart, and sustainable Kuching City by the year z2025.

“Through your help, I believe DBKU can raise awareness and promote practices in maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of our respective areas, shaping a united, beautiful and organised residential area.

“My hope is we can cultivate and spread the practice of maintaining cleanliness and beauty in our residential areas, setting an example for other Friendly Neighbourhoods (KJM),” he said.

He said this in his speech during the 3K (Kebersihan, Kecantikan Kejiranan Contoh) prize giving ceremony at Riverside Majestic Hotel here yesterday (Dec 21).

On the programme, he explained that its objective was to make Kuching City beautiful, clean, and delightful and to instil awareness among the community and city residents about the importance of cultivating cleanliness and beauty in their respective villages or residential areas.

He also thanked everyone for supporting the efforts of DBKU thus far and hoped for their continued support of initiatives planned by the city hall.
