KUCHING: The Ragad Foundation will continue to play a significant role in tackling challenges faced by the community in the areas of education, health and socio-economy.

The foundation’s chief of programme and campaign, Lila Ruzaini Hussain said it would come up with more initiatives to help the local community.

“Recently, we launched education programmes, water for all, Penan product programme, youth development programme and career opportunity programme.

“Also, despite the obstacles, restrictions and movement control order we have managed to launch and execute two major campaigns – Kamek Prihatin and Let’s Read Campaign,” he said.

She was speaking during a high-tea programme by the wife of the Head of State Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib with media practitioners held at Raia Hotel & Convention Centre on Yesterday (August 22).

Lila added that the foundation had also managed to set up mini library in rural areas.

“So far we have set up two mini libraries in Ulu Baram and one mini internet cafe at Long Beladin recently,” she said.
