KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Association (STA) concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today (Mar 26), announcing the election of 34 Council members for the term 2024-2025.
These members, alongside the 13 Permanent Council members, will constitute the STA Council for the upcoming year.
Datuk Henry Lau has been re-elected as chairman, with Datuk Seri Patrick Wong Haw Yeong and James Ho Yam Kuan serving as vice chairmen.
Meanwhile, Wong Ting Chung has been elected as secretary and Philip Choo Kwong Hui as treasurer.
The Management Committee for the term 2024-2025 includes Wong Ting Chung (Hill Logging), Lau Kor See (Log Marketing), Joseph Lau Ching Hoo (Forest Plantation), Yek Siew Liong (Furniture & Other Woodworking), Philip Law Buong Hoo (Moulding), Datuk James Ling Lu Kiong (Panel Products), Datin Sri Annie Wong Haw Bing (Sawmilling), Diana Lau Kor Ping (Swamp Logging), and Stephen Hi Hium Ung (Timber Products Marketing).
This new leadership lineup reflects STA’s commitment to advancing the timber industry and fostering sustainable development in Sarawak.
