KUCHING: A video of a hit-and-run incident was detected by the police on December 1, involving a motorcycle and a sedan vehicle.
Kuching district police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the video is related to an incident happened on November 30.
In a statement today, he said an investigation paper has opened on the same day of the incident at 7.36pm.
“In regards the incident on Nov 30 at 11.40am, a sedan vehicle has hit a motorcycle at Jalan Tun Salahuddin.
“The rider of the motorcycle sustained minor injury and has received treatment. The driver of the sedan did not sustain injury,” he said.
Ahsmon added that the sedan driver has been interrogated by the police and the investigation paper will be forwarded to the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving and lack of attention on the road causing injuries to other road users.
