KUCHING: The new H&L Supercentre in Aiman Mall Kota Samarahan which opened yesterday is the biggest outlet of its kind in the state.

It is the company’s 13th outlet and the fifth H&L supercentre after Kuching Sentral, Eastern Mall (Siburan), Matang Mall and Tabuan Plaza.

Corporate Marketing Strategy Manager, Rita Ting Lee Young said the new outlet also has the first fast food section with dine-in tables (The Magic Oven).

“This food section provides a variety of ‘ready to eat’ foods with reasonable prices such as Ayam Penyet Combo set with only RM8.40, Nasi Lemak RM2.00, Fried Chicken Rice Combo set RM5.30 and instant food (multi-type dishes) with the price of RM3.50,” said Rita during a press conference in conjunction with the pre-launching of the H&L new outlet yesterday.

“The bakery will produce fresh and daily home-made products such as layer cakes, breads, popcorn, and others.

“The bakery products and recipes was originally owned by Chef Chung Min Fung, who is the personal assistant in charge in Bakery section.

“Built-up with an open closet, customers will be able to watch the staff and chef doing the bakery process which it is an attraction for customers when passing through this section,” she added.

Rita also said that they ‘serve no pork’ and are in the process of applying for Halal certificates from Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM).

The supercentre also has the largest fresh products section with a variety of fresh products such as meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables and others.

“Similar to the other outlets, a variety of daily needs products such as cosmetics, detergents, baby products and others can be found here, including  imported products from China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Germany and
others.

“The prices are also reasonable, and every week we will have a promotion for certain products in certain section,” she explained.

She noted that they stressed on the comfort and security of customers during shopping by providing space for two trolleys to move at the same time.

In conjunction with the launching of the H&L Supercentre, customers will have the opportunity to get RM10 H&L shopping voucher when they spend RM50 and above with one receipt starting today until April 24.

Meanwhile, the official launching of H&L Supercentre will be graced by Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg, today.

Also present during the press conference is Operation Area Manager, Betty Chia Ping Jung.
