KUCHING: All the ongoing Sarawak Poor Home Improvement Project (PPRMS) in Kampung Segedup under the Satok constituency has been fully completed.
According to Media CyberSatok Facebook today, the home repair projects were initiatives by the Sarawak government to help the poor in the state.
“It was also to ensure that those who are eligible to receive assistance have a comfortable home. An allocation of RM15,000 was channelled to each applicant to repair houses in Kampung Segedup,” it said.
The PPRMS selection method is based on those who having dilapidated and unsafe houses, single mothers, mualaf (converts) and asnaf (poor).
“The establishment of PPRMS is beneficial in helping to reduce the burden of the poor, avoiding applicants for waiting too long to get approval, efficient implementation and is done through the concept of gotong-royong,” it said in a Facebook post.
For the record, a total of seven residents in Kampung Segedup were selected to receive assistance under three phases.
For the Phase One recipients are Tony Bohram and Siti Khalipah Kamaruddin, Phase Two, Nas Ibrahim, Liza Muhamad and Sapiee Son and Phase Three, Rajipah Mohidi and Ibrahim Abdullah.
