KUCHING: Today (July 12), the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, honoured ten members of the Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) with service certificates as a token of appreciation for their outstanding dedication and service.
The certificate presentation took place during a courtesy visit by the MIS members to Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Sri Fauziah Mohd Sanusi at the Astana Sarawak.
Among the recipients of these certificates were prominent individuals such as MIS President, Datuk Misnu Taha, and Deputy President, Datuk Ts Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi. Other deserving MIS members who were recognized for their contributions included Datu Kipli Yassin, Datu Sarudu Hoklai, Datuk Norhyati Mohd Ismail, and Datuk Helmi Mohd Gol.
The remaining awardees were Dr Wan Ali Tuanku Madihi, Dr Dayang Nurfizawati Abang Abdul Karim, Dr Abdul Jabbar Abdullah, and the former Secretary of MIS, Datu Khalidi Ibrahim.
Each of them was acknowledged for their exemplary work in handling various Islamic affairs during their commendable three-year tenure.
These certificates symbolize the culmination of their service, as their tenure with the Sarawak Islamic Council concludes on July 31. The MIS members’ commitment and excellence in their roles have significantly contributed to the advancement of Islamic affairs in Sarawak.
