KUCHING: Hope Place founder, Kelvin Wan yesterday handed  over food items like rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, noodles, Milo, biscuits as well as blankets, towels, second-hand clothes, soap,  school uniforms and mattresses to Noordarwena Affena Binti Zakaria,  a former resident of Anjung Singgah, a shelter for the homeless here.

On hand to witness the presentation of the items was an Anjung Singgah official, Aldrin Lanen.

Noordarwena and her family, who had been staying at the shelter  last week,  moved out from Anjung Singgah yesterday.

Anjung Singgah is also helping Noordarwena to get a new job. 

Hope Place delivers its aid once every three months because of the many families on its list of recipients. Currently, it   supports more than 180 families.
