KUCHING: Non-governmental organisation (NGO) Hope Place shared the Chinese New Year (CNY) joy with the needy here.

Hope Place distributed, among others, oranges, soft drinks, cookies, Omega 3 milk powder and ang pow – all obtained from a group of donors from Bintulu.

Among the recipients are Jong Hing Kah and his brother, who are both mentally challenged. They live together with no other family members to help them.

Other recipients are Tan Siew Moi and Chin Chun Fah. The two women live alone – Tan is unmarried while Chin lost her only son due in a motorcycle accident last year.

Hope Place also received various CNY goodies from many donors in Kuching. These festive goodies were distributed to B40 families.
