KUCHING: Anjung Singgah (YKN) recently contacted Hope Place asking them to help a widow, Teo Siew Sian whose husband died five years ago.

They have a daughter but she suffers from an illness which requires her to be cared round the clock.

According to Ediawati, an official of Anjung Singgah, Teo and her daughter are originally from Miri.

Teo has been working in Kuching for two years taking care of a person with disabilities (OKU) but lost her job and place to stay two months ago.

Ediawati said after the OKU died, the son did not require Teo service anymore and just asked her to move out from the house.

As a result, Teo has no place to go to and asked Anjung Singgah for help.

Teo has been staying at Anjung Singgah for the last two months and recently Trinity Church donated some money to her to set up a small food stall near a coffeeshop.
