KUCHING: A vacant house in Lorong 17, Stampin New Settlement Scheme here was reduced to ashes as a result of a fire that occurred yesterday .
Bomba operations centre in a statement today reported that an emergency call was received at around 10.00pm.
A team of firefighters from Tabuan Jaya Fire and Rescue station were then deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters immediately spritzed water from the fire engine and extinguished the fire at around 10:50pm.
The fire was contained and did not spread to other homes nearby and no casualties were reported during the incident.
