PADAWAN: A house at Kampung Annah Sadir here was swept away by a landslide while two houses nearby are on the brink of collapse.
Village chief Sagu Bakong said the incident happened around 3.30am on Tuesday (Jan 12) following heavy rain for the past few days.
Fortunately, the owner of the house that was swept away was not home at the time. No other casualties or injuries were reported.
Firefighters from Siburan were deployed to the scene to monitor the situation.
The soil structure was found to be unstable and two houses nearby are facing a high risk of collapsing.
The house owners were advised to move to a safer place.
