KUCHING: A 63-year-old housewife from Taman Desa Wira in Batu Kawa won Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L, the grand prize of Liansin New Jimmy Contest 2016.
Rokian Yaman however was unable to be contacted to inform her about her winning after the grand prize draw.
Her entry was picked by Minister of Local Government Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian who officiated at the Liansin New Jimmy Contest 2016 Grand Prize draw at Boulevard Shopping Mall here yesterday.
Speaking at the event, Dr Sim called on rice producers to produce quality rice for consumers’ healthy diet and lifestyles.
He also hoped that the rice produced would be of good quality and rather than quantity because quality rice could help to contri-bute to healthy lifestyle and to create a healthy community.
Earlier, Abang Akip Majid from Beras Corporation Sdn Bhd picked the winners for the season three New Jimmy Contest 2016.
The New Jimmy Contest 2016 received a total of 280,000 entries from throughout the state for the three seasons’ draw.
Also present were Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd Executive Director Harold Tan, Senior Marketing Manager Lim Boo Kiong and distinguished guests.
