KUCHING: A housewife was given a terror ride of her life after she was forced into a car by an unknown man Monday night.

The incident unfolded in front of an electrical shop at Batu Kawa.

According to the victim, 30, she was picking her husband’s mobile phone in the car when a man wearing a green collar tee shirt pointed a knife at her and pushed her into the car.

Seconds later she found herself on the driver’s seat with her kidnapper sitting beside her.

With the knife in his hand, the man told her to drive “straight”. Then as they approached Mile 3 traffic light, the man suddenly grabbed the steering wheel and made a left turn, knocking into another car.

The victim said she thought she could stop to sort out the accident with the other driver but it was not to be because her kidnapper asked her to drive on.

When they reached the vicinity of Chung Hua Primary School No 6, the man ordered her to go to Batu Kawa and there ordered her to stop in front of a supermarket.

There the suspect grabbed her purse, got off the car and disappeared among the rows of shophouses.

She said she has RM40 inside the purse.

In an unrelated incident, a labourer aged 54 from Kampung Tabuan Lot reported on Monday that his son ran amok at about 1pm and damaged a motorcycle.

He said his son had asked for RM10 and when he did not get the money, he took a parang and hacked his motorcycle.

Police called to the scene arrested the 29-year-old suspect. They also seized a parang and a piece of wood from the suspect.
